KENT suffered relegation from rugby's Tetley County Championship after a 47-3 defeat by Surrey at the Metropolitan Police Ground.
It was Kent's third defeat in a row and means they will be playing in the Tetley Shield competition next season. They had earlier lost 30-23 to Sussex and 41-20 to Berkshire in the competition.
In the final game, Kent were behind within two minutes when Surrey successfully converted a penalty. Surrey were able to build on this with three further tries before Kent got their only points of the match.
Martin Slattery kicked successfully from a penalty they were awarded 30 metres out and 20 metres in from the right hand touchline.
Surrey extended their lead with a penalty and unconverted try early in the second half and added seven more points before the final whistle.
