Curbs: our defence has plenty to work on
00:00, 11 November 2005
CHARLTON boss Alan Curbishley is ready to overhaul his team's defence to right the wrongs of Saturday’s 4-1 defeat at Blackburn.
The Addicks’ unblemished away record in the Premiership was shot to pieces, raising questions over the team’s defensive resilience.
Curbishley conceded: “We never gave ourselves a defensive base. There is certainly plenty to work on because what happened on Saturday cannot be allowed to continue.
“And it’s not just the defence. There are other departments as well who have got to look at themselves.
“The problem I have is not going overboard on what I saw. On the other hand that performance has left me with plenty to think about.”
Charlton play at home to Manchester United on November 19 following the international break.
