Dartford have announced the completion of a loan deal for Gillingham striker Adam Birchall.
The 28-year-old joins The Skrill Premier side on a deal that runs until January 2.
Birchall was made available for transfer by Gills boss Martin Allen earlier in the summer after signing a number of new faces in attack.
Burman was immediately on the case and was delighted to get his man.
He told the club’s official website: “I am delighted that Adam has decided to join us.
“He is an excellent player and will bring that little bit of extra quality to the squad.
“When I met Adam in the summer, he told me that the only non-league club that he wanted to play for was Dartford.
“I know he has the desire to get things right and that’s why I wanted to wait and be patient to secure his services”.
Birchall goes straight into the squad for Darford tonight when they take on a Charlton XI at Princes Park.
"He will play some part," confirmed the Darford boss.
Gills boss Martin Allen said: "I fully expect Adam to score a lot of goals and he needs this time away to play games on a regular basis.
"Last season he was very patient, very dedicated and a model professional but he needs to play games. We can keep a close eye on him and he will continue to work with us on a regular basis."
Birchall joined the Gills from Dover in 2011 but a serious injury ruled him out for his first season. He returned last season, making 15 league appearances.
