Deal brings F3 and GT racing back to Brands

THE UK's premier single-seater and sportscar series is returning to Brands Hatch next season.
The British Formula 3 International Series and the British GT Championship are coming back to Brands, as well as the Oulton Park and Snetterton circuits.
The championships did not visit the three MotorSport Vision (MSV) tracks this year because MSV and the SRO Motorsports Group were unable to agree acceptable terms for their inclusion in the calendar.
Most significantly, the British F3 and GT championships will form part of the package of support races for next year's second running of the A1 Grand Prix meeting on the Brands Hatch Grand Prix circuit in September.
MSV chief executive Jonathan Pamler spoke of his delight at the deal. He said: "It was a pity that we could not find a way forward last year as I am a great supporter of F3 and GT racing, as our TAG Heuer GT250 event showed at the A1 Grand Prix weekend.
"It has been pretty clear to competitors how much has been invested enhancing the MSV circuits and understandably SRO wished to include our circuits in the 2006 F3 and GT calendar."
SRO boss Stephane Ratel added: "I am delighted with this agreement, which answers the wishes of all the teams, who wish to return to some of the best circuits in Britain."
