EVEN though Aylesford are riding high at the top of Kent division one and look a good bet for promotion they continue to strengthen the playing and coaching team.

Following last week's announcement of the signing of Stuart Anderson from Westcombe Park they have now attracted a quality "double act" to guide them through next season.

New Zealand-born coach Paul McKeany returns home in May having spent a very successful spell with the club as Director of Coaching. Lined up to take over the solid foundations the Bulls have secured the coaching services of Graham Arkley and Simon Jones to link up with Richard Garrett who joined the club earlier in the season and made an immediate impact in coaching the senior squad.

Graham Arkley originates from the West Country where he represented Bath under 21s. After taking up a teaching job in Kent he represented the county on a number of occasions until receiving a career threatening injury against Cornwall. He fought his way back to fitness and now joins the Bulls from London two side Sevenoaks.

Currently playing for National League side Westcombe Park Simon Jones joins fellow prop Anderson. Jones is a highly respected player within the Kent rugby scene having played for the full county side for a number of years.

Aylesford’s Rugby Development Officer Adrian Futers said: "I’ve known Graham and Simon for a number of years and played along side both at club and county level. They are both excellent players in their own rights and I am sure they have the experience and knowledge to make at success at coaching.

"We are delighted that they have seen Aylesford as a progressive club where they can develop their coaching careers."
