Dover boss Chris Kinnear has been rewarded for guiding his team into the Conference Premier on the back of a stunning play-off campaign.

But it's not with a new contract - he’s never had one at Whites and he’s happy with that arrangement.

Kinnear, 60, has today (Wednesday) been named the Skrill South manager of the month for April/May.

His team won promotion back to non-league’s top-flight for the first time in 12 years after winning 1-0 at north Kent rivals Ebbsfleet in the promotion final on May 10.

The victory, which was secured by former Ebbsfleet striker Nathan Elder’s 56th-minute header, meant Kinnear’s side became the first to finish fifth and go on to win promotion since the inception of Conference South in 2004.

Dover beat Sutton United 4-1 on aggregate in the semi-finals, a result which included a sensational 3-0 win in the away leg when they played with 10 men for 87 minutes after captain Craig Stone was sent off.
