Dover had to settle for a point against Skrill South play-off rivals Eastbourne Borough after a goalless 90 minutes at Crabble on Saturday.
Dover, playing their second match in three days following Thursday’s 4-3 win at Havant & Waterlooville, survived a shaky start to create several promising chances without ever being able to apply the finishing touch.
James Rogers was inches away from Barry Cogan’s cross in the first half while Nathan Elder, Moses Ademola and Tom Murphy all went close after the break.
Eastbourne’s best moments came early in the game and then late on but each time they were thwarted by Whites’ keeper Mitch Walker.
Dover had to play the final 17 minutes with 10 men after midfielder Rogers was sent-off for a second yellow card.
Fifth-placed Dover entertain Farnborough on Tuesday night.
