Dover won successive home league games for the first time this season as they beat Skrill South play-off rivals Bath City at Crabble on Saturday.
Second-half goals from Barry Cogan and Ricky Modeste gave Chris Kinnear’s side victory over a Bath team who had won their three previous matches.
And the visitors wasted the best chance of the first half when, following a mistake by Whites’ centre-half Sean Raggett, Noah Keats sidefooted wide.
But, with a strong wind in their favour in the second half, Dover went in front after 53 minutes when Cogan forced home the loose ball after City keeper Jason Mellor had parried a Tom Wynter header.
Bath then missed another couple of good chances and paid the penalty on 65 minutes when Modeste took a pass from Cogan and lobbed the advancing Mellor.
Substitute Elliott Charles headed wide from close range in the dying minutes but Dover had already done enough to ensure they rose to sixth.
