Gillingham chairman Paul Scally has been fined £2,000 following an FA inquiry into the transfer of David Graham.

Graham was signed from Sheffield Wednesday in the summer but the FA found the player, the club and Mr Scally guilty to charges relating to the August transfer.

Mr Scally was charged with a breach of FA rules for failing to comply with requests to attend an interview in connection with The FA inquiry.

He subsequently admitted a breach of rule F3 – failure to produce documents – and was fined and warned as to his future conduct.

The club was charged with a breach of The FA Football Agents Regulations.

It was alleged that they dealt with Jon Kirtland and/or Chris McMenemy in respect of Graham’s transfer – neither of whom was a licensed agent or exempt individual.

The club were also warned as to their future conduct.

Graham, who has subsequently left the club after agreeing a financial settlement, was also charged after breaking the FA’s rules on agents and received a warning.
