Gillingham 4 Bromley 1

GILLINGHAM manager Ronnie Jeposon admitted his side weren’t at their best on Saturday – but was just glad to be in the second round of the FA Cup.

The 4-1 victory over Kent neighbours Bromley came thanks to doubles from Mark Bentley and Guylain Ndumbu-Nsungu.

But it wasn’t as easy as the scoreline suggests for Jepson’s side, who now face League 1 rivals Bristol City away in the next round.

The Gills boss said: "We weren’t at our best but I told them to stick at it, which we did and we got our rewards in the end.

"I’ve got to give full credit to Bromley. They gave it a proper go and gave a performance their manager can be proud of."
