Gillingham will find out their opponents in the first round of the Capital One Cup on Tuesday morning.

The Gills are one of 18 non-seeded teams in the Southern Section of the draw which means potential opponents could include Cardiff City, who were relegated from the Premier League at the end of last season.

Other possible ties include Charlton, Millwall, Reading, Swindon and League 1 champions Wolves who will all be seeded in the draw.

Last season, the Gills went out 2-0 at home to Bristol City in the first round. They also met them the previous season away from home, winning 2-1 at Bristol City thanks to Danny Kedwell and Ben Strevens.

Gillingham will then discover their League 1 fixtures on Wednesday morning. Visit www.kentonline.co.uk/sport from 9am for all the details.

Capital One Cup southern section seeds: AFC Bournemouth, Birmingham City, Brentford, Brighton & Hove Albion, Bristol City, Cardiff City, Charlton Athletic, Ipswich Town, Leyton Orient, Millwall, Milton Keynes Dons, Peterborough United, Reading, Swindon Town, Walsall, Watford, Wolverhampton Wanderers, Yeovil Town.
