Gillingham 1 - 1 Rotherham United
SUBSTITUTE Gavin Grant's first goal for the club earned Gillingham a share of the points against Rotherham at Priestfield on Saturday.
Grant, who replaced Neil Harris at half-time, was on hand to bundle home debutant Tommy Black's 63rd minute corner to level for the home side.
After a flat first half, the game finally came to life in the 54th minute when former Gill Paul Shaw played in Rotherham's Lee Williamson, who kept his head to finish well across Jason Brown.
But Rotherham will feel they should have taken all three points when Shaun Barker's effort appeared to have easily crossed the goal-line before Brown clawed it out, but the referee failed to award the goal.
Gillingham: Brown, Clohessy, Cox, Johnson, Jackman, Black, Crofts, Pouton (Flynn h-t), Spiller, Harris (Grant h-t), Byfield
Subs Not Used: Crichton, Hope, Rose.
