ADRIAN HALL, of Headcorn-based Maidstone Sports Cars, overcame horrendous conditions to win the MGF Challenge at Snetterton.
Hall, 30, from Snodland, took the lead in torrential rain on the fifth of the 10 laps and was never headed.
"It was an incredible performance against the odds," said Maidstone Sports Cars owner Andrew Marsh. "Most of our competitors are much bigger than us and have far greater resources."
He said the victory was very much a team effort and praised the work of head mechanic Julian Brungar, of Headcorn.
Maidstone Sports Cars, backed by local firms Breens and Comptech Systems, are now first overall in the 12 race series with Stephen Hunter Racing, of Warrington. It is the team's first win in the series, although there have been several seconds and thirds.
