THE Medway-based Invicta Dynamos ice hockey team have released Finnish import Samuli Mykkanen only seven games into the new season.
The 22-year-old, a summer signing from Edinburgh Capitals, was trailed by the Dynamos for a long time last season but has been disappointing since arriving at the Ice Bowl.
Captain Phil Chard said: “We needed to make a change because of the way the results have been going. We are now looking for more impact players to bring into the team.”
The Dynamos moved quickly to strengthen their roster by signing British forward Stuart Low from Romford on Thursday. Low will make his debut against Haringey Racers in the English Premier League on Sunday and Chard said: “We hope he can add some intensity to the side.”
