GILLINGHAM boss Ronnie Jepson is hoping to unveil another new signing today after spending the weekend in negotiations.

The Gills completed their pre-season campaign against West Ham on Saturday and strengthening the squad remains a priority ahead of the weekend’s season opener.

Jepson said: "I’ve been speaking to a certain manager about a player and hopefully we can get him. We’ll be working on that over the weekend and see what Monday brings."
