Dover Athletic, Dartford, Ebbsfleet United and Welling United join Gillingham in the FA Cup first round draw

A handful of Kent’s non-league clubs are eagerly awaiting Sunday’s FA Cup first round draw.
Dover Athletic, Dartford, Ebbsfleet United and Welling will all be in the hat following Saturday’s final qualifiers.
Fleet and Dartford replay their game on Tuesday night – following Saturday’s 1-1 draw, but both will know who the winners will face, when they meet at Princes Park.
Gillingham are one of the teams who those two could meet, but the interim boss at the League 1 club isn’t particularly keen on meeting either.
“I certainly don’t want the winners of Dartford and Ebbsfleet, not that on,” he said.
“It’s nice that they are going to get a replay as they can make a few more bob for each club but we will just wait to see who we get and then we will think about out.”
The Gills will almost certainly want to avoid another game against Dover Athletic – another of Taylor’s former teams.
Their last FA Cup visit to Priesfield ended in a memorable 2-0 win for Whites, against the Gills team then managed by Andy Hessenthaler.
Numbers to look out for in the draw are 19 (Gillingham), 65 (Dartford/Ebbsfleet), 68 (Dover) and 78 for Welling United.
Other names in the hat this time around include Sheffield United (38), Wolverhampton Wanderers (46) and Preston (34) – all former winners of the cup and all now playing in League 1.
Sadly Chatham Town won’t be in the draw, having lost 2-0 to St Albans City at Maidstone Road on Saturday.
The draw for the first round proper will be televised live on ITV1 on Sunday at around 1.35pm. Ties to be played on the weekend November 9.
