00:01, 21 April 2016
Towns and villages across Kent will join hundreds nationwide this evening lighting beacons in honour of the Queen's 90th birthday.
In Kent more than 60 fires will be lit tonight, everywhere from castles to primary schools - have a look at our beacon map to find the event closest to you.
The first of the chain of more than 1,000 beacons across Britain, the Channel Islands, the Isle of Man and UK Overseas Territories will be lit by the Queen.
She will be joined by the Duke of Edinburgh, Charles, Prince of Wales, and Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall.
As part of her birthday celebrations, the Queen will take part in a walkabout near Windsor Castle.
The last time Kent's beacons were lit was the Queen's jubilee in 2012, which many of tonight's participants took part in.
