Charlton Athletic have put two points between themselves and the Championship relegation zone and tonight they host Watford at The Valley. It's bound to be a nervy affair and we'll have news tomorrow morning of how Jose Riga's side got on.

Gillingham boss Peter Taylor won’t be taking any action following an altercation between team-mates Joe Martin and Chris Whelpdale at Preston on Saturday.

Barry Hawkins has won the last frame of the session at the Crucible and he now leads Dominic Dale 6-2 in the quarter-finals of the World Snooker Championship.

The match resumes at 7pm.

Ebbsfleet United are in Skrill South play-off action tomorrow night and captain Daryl McMahon says he'd happily sacrifice style for a win over two legs against Bromley.

LUNCHBREAK

Barry Hawkins has just gone 4-1 up against Dominic Dale in their World Snooker Championship quarter-final, so this seems like a good point to take a breather. We'll be back with more news on the Ditton potter this afternoon as well as plenty more from the world of Kent sport.

11.45 - FOOTBALL

Folkestone Invicta are expecting their biggest crowd of the season for tonight's play-off semi-final against Hastings United. There were 485 fans at the Fullicks Stadium for the local derby against Hythe in August but with Invicta just two wins away from the Ryman League Premier Division, the club's expecting to easily surpass that figure tonight.

Folkestone manager Neil Cugley said: "I'd be disappointed if we don't get 600-700. Our support has been excellent, but it's never been better than it was in our last two games. Now we really need the fans to get right behind the players to push us over the line."

11.20 - ATHLETICS

The Kent Young Athletes League for under-13 and under-15 boys and girls commenced on Saturday at the Julie Rose Stadium in Ashford. Alan Newman reports.

Barry Hawkins wins the first two frames against Dominic Dale at the Crucible. It's a best-of-25 scenario, so first to 13 makes the World Snooker Championship semi-finals.

Dartford academy players Charlie Bex (0.58) and Kaka Dembele (1.02) played their own part in the new Nike football advert - and Kaka even enjoys a bit of banter with Ronaldo!

Congratulations to Gravesend RFC, who lifted the Kent Cup on Sunday when they beat Blackheath 27-24 at Footscray. That meant the Gs completed a superb double, having already won the London 1 South title, booking their ticket back to the National League.

09.30 - FOOTBALL

Gillingham boss Peter Taylor aims to bring striker Danny Kedwell back for the season finale against Shrewsbury. Taylor decided against taking Kedwell to Preston on Saturday in a bid to preserve him for the Gills' last home game.

Barry Hawkins is back in action at the World Snooker Championship this morning. The Ditton breakbuilder is up against Dominic Dale in the quarter-finals, with the first cue being chalked at 10am. We'll have updates during the day.

08.30 - FOOTBALL

What a night lies ahead for Folkestone Invicta. Having finished second in Ryman League Division 1 South, they're at home to Hastings United in the play-off semi-final tonight.

And there's good news for Stripes fans ahead of the game. Johan ter Horst, Paul Booth and Dane Luchford, having scored 71 goals between them this season, are all expected back from injury for the huge game at the Fullicks Stadium.
