LORDSWOOD Football Club have dismissed manager Wayne Godden after a series of poor results have left them near the foot of the Bass Brewers Kent League, Premier Division.
The Medway club have won only four times in 18 league games this season and were thrashed 4-0 at home by VCD Athletic in the second round of the Kent League, Premier Division Cup last Saturday.
Club chairman John O'Halloran said: "Poor results and performances, plus a lack of motivation, have forced us to make a change in order to try and salvage something from the season.
"There is a lack of spirit throughout the club at the moment. The boys have let themselves as well as Wayne down."
Former manager and vice-chairman Barry Zillwood takes over first team affairs until the end of the season.
