Maidstone survived late drama at the Gallagher Stadium to maintain their unbeaten start to the Ryman League Premier Division season with a 2-1 win over Billericay on Tuesday night.

Referee Neil awarded Billericay an injury-time penalty but the linesman had already signalled for offside.

The pair consulted on the touchline and Neil reversed his decision, to the fury of Billericay.

Orlando Smith's deflected strike from the edge of the area gave United the lead after 27 seconds.

Arthur Lee levelled at the far post after slack marking at a free-kick on 27 minutes.

But Frannie Collin's clever header from Smith's near-post corner clinched United's third straight win.

Margate trailed Enfield at half-time but the visitors earned a 1-1 draw thanks to a Zak Attwood goal on 55 minutes.

Thamesmead secured their first point of the season with a goalless draw at home to Met Police.

Faversham won a lively Kent derby 3-2 at Ramsgate in Ryman League Division 1 South.

Town trailed to a Dave Pilcher strike but Wayne Wilson's free-kick and Matt Bourne gave them a 2-1 lead.

The Lilywhites added a third when Aaron Lacy's long throw was helped in by Rams keeper Shannon Harris before James Everitt scored a late consolation.

Herne Bay claimed their first win of the season with a 2-1 home victory against Folkestone.

Joe Nelder opened the scoring late in the first half and Jordan Casey doubled the lead before Steve Harper replied for Invicta.

Unbeaten Hythe drew 1-1 at home to Whitstable.

Michael Yianni opened the scoring for Scott Porter's side in the first minute but Mo Takaloo levelled for the visitors shortly before half-time.

Sittingbourne's early-season struggles continued with a fourth straight defeat.

Juan Onieva scored his second of the match to clinch a 2-1 win for visitors Walton & Hersham after Joe Taylor had equalised on 73 minutes.
