Maidstone United climbed to third place in the Ryman League Premier Division with an impressive 2-1 win at Bognor Regis on Tuesday night.
Winger Rory Hill gave Stones a half-time lead with a goal on 31 minutes.
On-loan Ebbsfleet midfielder Tom Phipp struck five minutes after the break, with Kane Willis replying for Bognor on 71 minutes.
Stones are three points behind leaders AFC Hornchurch with three games in hand.
Thamesmead scored a last-minute equaliser to earn a 2-2 draw at Canvey Island.
Tony Stokes' penalty gave Canvey the lead inside 60 seconds and Sheldon Sellears made it two before half-time.
Gordon Young pulled a goal back on 57 minutes and Mead went on to snatch a point.
Whitstable stormed back from 3-1 down to win 4-3 at Walton & Hersham in Ryman League Division 1 South.
Goals from Juan Onleva (1), Andre Scarlett (17) and Samad Kazi (20) gave Swans a 3-2 lead at half-time, with Craig Thompson (5) and Peter Huggens (35) replying for Town.
Jordan Wells levelled on 65 minutes, then Steve Hafner completed the comeback by scoring the winner seven minutes from time.
Sixth-placed Ramsgate claimed a useful point towards their play-off bid with a goalless draw at Crawley Down.
Margate suffered a 3-0 home defeat by Hastings in the League Cup third round.
Sittingbourne lost 2-0 at home to Chatham in round four.
Striker Alfie May scored in either half as Chats recorded their first win over the Brickies in 13 attempts.
