GILLINGHAM striker Gary Mulligan looks likely to receive a recall to the starting eleven for the six-pointer against Crewe in League 1 on Saturday.

Mulligan played well during the 2-1 defeat against Doncaster on Tuesday night.

Stimson was impressed with the Irishman’s attitude at the Keepmoat Stadium and could be ready to hand him another chance from the off.

Stimson said: “Gary Mulligan went on and he showed for the first time in a few weeks that his desire and his passion is back and he has given himself a chance of starting on Saturday.”
