CARL Greenhous is the new coach of the Gillingham-based ice hockey team Invicta Dynamos.
After the surprise news that Mikko Skinnari has left Medway for Milton Keynes comes the announcement that Andy Hannah is to be replaced and not offered a new Mos contract as either player or coach.
There is no confirmation as to where Hannah will go, but what could be telling is a posting on his former club, the Chelmsford Chieftains’ website, which says they are about to sign “a big Canadian utility player".
What is certain is that Greenhous will take the reigns and is determined to do well.
He said: “The English National Premier League looks very competitive this year and I'm looking forward to the challenge." The big 6ft 1in Canadian defenseman was an instant hit at the Ice Bowl last year. His physical presence and passion for the game earned respect from both players and fans alike.
