Folkestone Invicta v Gillingham
GILLINGHAM fans will get their first glimpse of Ronnie Jepson’s new-look side tonight when they open their pre-season campaign at Folkestone.
The Gills boss has been busy re-building the side ahead of a renewed attempt at returning to the Championship with a clutch of new signings likely to be on show.
Joining the Gills over the summer have been Mark Bentley, Guylain Ndumbu-Nsungu, Gary Mulligan, Duncan Jupp, Dean McDonald and Clint Easton.
The club’s Trinidad & Tobago World Cup contingent look set to sit the game out, with defenders Brent Sancho and Ian Cox, together with new keeper Kelvin Jack, yet to return
to full-time training.
That means Jepson will be forced to bring in a trialist or a youngster in goal, as Jack is the only keeper currently on the club’s books.
The club have no game scheduled for Saturday and will be back in action on July 18, when they travel to Le Touquet in France, to face the United Arab Emirates international
side.
Kick-off tonight at the Buzzlines Stadium is 7.30pm.
