Paffett set to go 'flat out' for home win

KENT'S Gary Paffett goes into his home round of the DTM at Brands Hatch this weekend aiming for nothing less than a victory over some of the world's finest touring car racers.
The 26-year-old driver, from Bromley, became the first British DTM champion in 2005, but took last year out to perform testing duties for the McLaren-Mercedes Formula 1 team.
Paffett is eagerly awaiting his first UK appearance in the 2007 series. He said: "As Brands Hatch is my home circuit I'll be going flat out for a win.
"The Indy circuit is tight and twisty, so it's going to be important to do well in qualifying. But with the fans behind me, I'm looking forward to getting down to business."
Paffett currently lies in fourth in the championship standings after a fine victory in round two at Oschersleben last month.
Tickets cost £30 on the gate, although admission is free for children aged 12 and under.
