Margate 1 Doncaster 1
MARGATE manager Chris Kinnear was highly critical of referee Bernard Baker after his side's draw with Doncaster in the Nationwide Conference. The Andover official booked five players and sent off Margate defender Lee Williams, a decision described as "baffling" by Kinnear.
It was the second home game in a row that Margate had finished with 10 men, having had Simon Beard sent off in the recent 1-0 win over Hayes. Gate had gone ahead right on the stroke of half time, with Phil Collins claiming the decisive touch after some outstanding work on the right by strike partner Leon Braithwaite.
It was just after that Williams picked up his first booking, and when Doncaster striker Neil Campbell fell under a challenge from the Margate man on the hour the outcome was inevitable. Margate dug in and looked like holding on for all three points when Jamie Patterson's corner was only half cleared and substitute Justin Jackson swept home the loose ball.
Seconds later Doncaster almost claimed an unlikely winner when Campbell hit the far post.
