Revving up to take honours at Brands
00:00, 22 August 2003
THE Green Flag MSA British Touring Car Championship returns to Brands Hatch this Bank Holiday weekend with both drivers' and manufacturers’ championships still up for grabs.
With huge crowds expected for one of the biggest races on the circuit's calendar, only seven points separate team-mates Yvan Muller and reigning champion James Thompson in their battle for honours in the drivers’ standings.
However, Paul O'Neill is still in the hunt after closing the gap following his impressive race win at Snetterton in the last round.
In the manufacturers’ championship, Honda will be hoping to close the gap on Vauxhall as they look to take another step towards clinching the title.
BTCC practice starts at 10.30am (other practices from 10am) on Sunday with the two races taking place on Monday at 12.45pm and 4.15pm (other races from 9am).
