SHEPPEY Rugby Club will have a new man at the helm as they make their assault on Kent 1 next season. Coach Neil Golding has stood down after a two-year spell and will now move on to the committee with Mick Walker taking over the top job.
Walker will work alongside Andy Hosken and Peter King and Golding is hoping the club can continue to move forward. Golding said: "I always intended to complete a two-year programme and get the club not only back into Kent 1 but with a stronger base.
"I have enjoyed my time and can look back on my time with pride at what has been achieved but the club needs new ideas and momentum.
"I will hopefully get involved with the club in some capacity and have a bit of a rest and see more of my family."
