Margate saw their lead at the top of Ryman League, Premier Division cut to two points after a surprise 2-1 home defeat to Peacehaven & Telscombe.

Ryan Moss put Gate ahead just seven minutes in, only for Tom Burton to equalise shortly before the half-hour and Wilfred Grimaud to snatch the winner 12 minutes from time.

Maidstone United are two points behind in second but retain four games in hand, despite being held to a 1-1 draw at home to fourth-placed Hendon.

Frannie Collin’s 52nd-minute goal looked like sending Stones back to the top, only for a stoppage-time leveller to silence the crowd of 1,996.
