Scally blasts 'scumbags' after car attack
00:00, 20 March 2008
GILLINGHAM chairman Paul Scally hit back at the “scumbags” who attacked his car while his three-year-old daughter was inside.
Mr Scally was left shocked after receiving a barrage of abuse inside the stadium during the club’s 3-0 defeat to Crewe on Saturday and had a rock thrown at his car after the game.
“I stopped my car but when I did they ran off,” he said. “I would have gone after them if my child hadn’t been with me.
“It was disgusting, disappointing, disenchanting and I think it was disgraceful.
"Some of the insults were disgraceful and I had my three year old daughter with me. They weren’t kids either, they were men.
“Some of the abuse I got was disgusting from some scumbags. It’s not acceptable and nobody deserves it.”
