Kent's Alex Blake smashed a superb 141 but Beckenham were crushed by eight wickets at home to Bexley in Kent League Premier Division on Saturday.

Blake scored at exactly a run a ball and shared a second-wicket stand of 138 with William Macvicar (47), while James Evans made 43 as the hosts posted 251-6 from 55 overs.

When Blake eventually departed after 15 fours and four sixes, he was caught by Kent colleague Adam Riley off the bowling of Jason Benn.

However despite Blake taking two catches himself in Bexley's reply, Jimmy Peirson hit a brilliant unbeaten 121, while Jack Wells (47) joined him for an opening stand of 122 and George Wells (66) helped add 129 for the second wicket as Bexley cruised home in 46 overs.

Bickley Park clung on at the death to secure a share of the spoils at home to Whitstable.

The visitors posted 235-7 with six players passing 20, but none reaching 40, with three wickets apiece to Daniel Magin and Phil Browning.

Nick Bills and Sean French also grabbed three each as Park were reduced to 35-4 and then 139-8 in reply, however they managed to reach 161-9 from their 55 overs to leave Whitstable with a winning draw.

Wayne Morgan took 4-38 as Bromley edged to a two-wicket win at home to Lordswood.

Morgan helped dismiss the visitors for 141, with Kent prospect Fabian Cowdrey top-scoring with 36, while late contributions from David Smith (24), Dominic Reed (17) and James Butterfill (23 not out) steered Bromley from 75-5 to 142-8 by the close.

Andrew Tutt claimed a superb 6-25 as Hartley Country Club beat Sibton Park by 43 runs in a dramatic finish.

James Thompson top-scored with 79 and Dan Stickels made 61 in Hartley's 214-8, with Michael James claiming three wickets, and despite Simon Knight's 57 in reply, which steered them from 73-5 to 142-5, only one other Park man passed 20 as they fell well behind the run-rate.

Tutt struck to make it 168-9, but from the penultimate ball of the day Ryan Currie was run out to give Hartley the win.

Sevenoaks Vine fell 18 runs short of their victory target in a low-scoring game against Blackheath.

The visitors were dismissed for 158, thanks largely to Warren Lee's 81, with Tom Parsons claiming four wickets, while in reply Lee struck three times and despite an unbeaten 55 from Michael Barber, Vine were all-out for 141 with three overs remaining.
