Stimson plays waiting game
08:07, 05 June 2008
Mark Stimson is sitting tight as he waits patiently for the holiday season to finish.
The Gillingham manager is keen on bolstering his strike force but the player he wants to bag is currently out of the country.
“The player is away on holiday now and we have to play the waiting game,” said Stimson.
“It’s good that he’s not signed for anyone else and every time I put teletext on I see so and so has signed for a club and I’m keeping my fingers crossed he won’t sign for someone else.”
Stimson must also wait on news of midfielder Kevin Maher, who will decide if he wants to join the Gills when he returns from a break.
