Gillingham manager Mark Stimson is ready to unleash striker Georges Ba against Luton Town on Tuesday night.
The 29-year-old Ivory Coast international is still awaiting official clearance to play after Stimson beat the Thursday transfer deadline by minutes to land the unproven striker.
"He has been around a few different countries and has a decent CV," said Stimson. "He's 6ft 2in and very strong and athletic and he's going to be an impact player.
"He is desperate to impress and wants to come to England. He had a game for Leeds and didn't impress them enough and he came here and we probably have just gambled on him until the end of the season."
