Two pictures that show the two sides of our wonderful sport.
Angler one is chilling in his bivvy with a nice cup of tea while waiting for a bite.
The second picture shows what an angler managed to land off our shores in Kent.
This large spurdog was just over 10lb and was caught in the last few weeks. Despite being pictured in the dark you can plainly see the bait it took (crab) just outside that shark like mouth!
These fish are not common but come inshore for a brief spell to feed on the peeler and hardback crabs.
The settled weather that we are all enjoying is making for some very good sport indeed.
Rivers are due to open on June 16 but don’t forget your Environment Agency licence. The levels may be a little low due to the lack of rain but find the fish and I bet they will be hungry after the three month break!
Whatever is your choice of fishing just be safe and enjoy the moment.
