PLAYERS from Sheppey Rugby Club saddled up and raised an impressive £330 for club funds.
They biked around the Island's pubs asking landlords and landladies for sponsorship or donations to enable them to buy new equipment.
Graham Kelly, first team prop and organiser, said: "It was the most we have raised for a fair few years by a long shot and money is still coming in.
"All the landlords and ladies seemed pleased to see us and we would like to thank them for all their support."
Skipper Arthur Morgan said: "It was a good, fun day although we did take a soaking in the early evening rain but spirits stayed high because as you can imagine there was a fair bit of drinking."
