Wings move for defender in swap deal

WELLING have signed defender John Guest from Ryman League Premier Division side Folkestone Invicta on an 18-month deal.
The transfer also sees Lee Shearer and Matt Carruthers moving in the opposite direction.
The signing comes hot on the heels of the capture of 25-year-old former Gillingham player Jimmy Corbett.
Corbett has joined on a non-contract basis from Heybridge Swifts having previously played in the Football League.
Corbett moved from Gillingham to Blackburn in May 1998 in a move worth more than £500,000 and subsequently had spells at Portsmouth, Darlington and Southend, where he was released at the end of last season.
Welling boss Adrian Pennock spoke of his delight at the signings.
He said: "John Guest is a young and capable player who I have been watching for some time. I am sure he has the ability to perform at Conference South level.
"Jimmy isn't match fit yet but once we get him up to speed then I'm sure he will be a great addition to the club."
