Gillingham 1 Leeds United 1
LEEDS manager Dennis Wise said he would report referee Danny McDermid following Saturday's stormy game in which Gillingham ended his side's perfect winning start to the season.
Wise alleged that the referee swore at him, after the Leeds manager confronted the official at the end of the game.
Gillingham grabbed a point from a 1-1 draw with an injury-time goal from Ian Cox against a Leeds side that had been reduced to nine men.
McDermid had to dodge objects thrown at him at the final whistle and ran to the dressing room.
The referee had sent off Leeds strikers Tresor Kandol and Jermaine Beckford and despite Wise being sent to the stands at half-time for swearing at the official, the Leeds boss said he would report McDermid for doing likewise.
Wise said: "I'm going to report it. He can report me for what happened at half-time. That's not a problem and we'll see what happens.
"There are so many things that happened which were frustrating. We could have won this game."
Iffy Onuora, the Gills stand-in manager, had his own thought on the subject.
He said: "A couple of them lost their discipline and the referee stood firm, and I don't think he did too much wrong."
