GILLINGHAM have signed teenage goalkeeper Richard Mannerings on a one-year professional deal from Maidstone United.
Mannerings, 17, who was released by Gillingham as a 15-year-old, impressed the current management after returning to the League 1 club on a short trial.
The keeper will serve as a back-up for Gillingham, who will be looking to unveil their World Cup keeper Kelvin Jack on Saturday, and Mannerings could find himself on the bench in the season opener against Huddersfield.
