Heartbroken classmates wore vibrant colours in tribute to a “bright, happy” friend as she made her final journey past her school.

Hundreds of pupils and staff at Invicta Grammar School, in Huntsman Lane, lined the pavement today to say an emotional goodbye to Zoe Georgiou.

The 16-year-old died after she was hit by a car in Heath Road, Coxheath, on Saturday, January 11.

The teen is believed to have stepped out from behind a bus after returning from a trip to Maidstone town centre with boyfriend Joe.

Dozens of flowers, candles, poems and tokens have been laid at the scene.

In a statement, her devastated parents said: “She was a wonderfully thoughtful and generous child who was not only determined to achieve success in her life but who was great fun to be around. Sleep tight Angel, you will never be forgotten.”
