Police are appealing for witnesses to an assault in Week Street, Maidstone.
A 27-year-old man suffered head and facial injuries after being pushed to the ground at about 7.15pm on Tuesday (October 1).
He was taken to Tunbridge Wells Hospital by ambulance for treatment.
Sgt Neil Kimber from the reactive crime team at Maidstone police station said: "We believe the victim of the assault may have been talking with another group shortly before the reported assault. We spoke to several witnesses at the scene and are still piecing together exactly what happened.
"CCTV footage is being reviewed. The footage will be thoroughly looked at and the evidence may shape our further investigation. But we encourage any other witnesses, or those involved in the incident, to make themselves known to police now.’
Officers want to trace a young white man with short brown hair who was wearing a black leather jacket and who was carrying a dark-coloured tube-shaped sports bag.
