The principal of New Line Learning Academy has left his post after five years.
David Elliott played an integral role in the formation of Future Schools Trust (FST) in 2007, which saw Senacre merge with Oldborough Manor to create the Boughton Lane school.
Earlier this week, Jane Hadlow started at New Line Learning Academy as Interim Principal and will work alongside Mr Elliott until he leaves at Christmas.
Mr Elliott said: “This decision has not been taken lightly but I am confident Jane is the right person to steer New Line Learning Academy alongside the dedicated team of staff already in place.
“It has been a honour to be Principal of New Line Learning Academy and I am sad to leave a truly fantastic cohort of students, parents and colleagues. I wish you all every success for the future.”
Before taking on the role he spent seven years as Vice Principal of Senacre Technology College.
Josh Coleman, CEO of FST, said: "I would like to personally and professionally thank David for all of his hard work and dedication at New Line Learning Academy and across the Trust.
"On behalf of the Trust, I would also like to welcome Jane, who has recent and direct experience of making considerable impact in terms of community engagement and outcomes for learners."
Mrs Hadlow said: “I’m delighted to be joining New Line Learning Academy and I look forward to working with a team of talented and motivated staff, as well as the academy’s young people and the wider community.”
