A heroin addict who killed her son by feeding him methadone has reportedly been found dead in Maidstone.
Kelly Emery was jailed for six years after being convicted of the manslaughter of two-year-old Fenton Hogan, who died in in 2013.
The court heard she gave him the substance to make him sleep while she smoked crack cocaine, but the youngster never woke up.
Emery, 34, and formerly of Birmingham, was jailed in 2015 after being found guilty at Nottingham Crown Court.
She was released from prison in September and had been living at a bail hostel. It is believed she died at her boyfriend's house on Friday.
The report quotes Lynn Wheeldon, mum of Fenton's dad Michael, who said: "We're feeling a bit weird about the whole thing but relieved because she killed my grandson so I'm not going to shed a tear.
"Fenton meant everything to Michael and she took him away.
"We're experiencing mixed emotions."
She had previously spoken of her disgust at the length of Emery's sentence.
The Ministry of Justice said they could not comment on individual cases.
