An outdoor adventure park in Maidstone is set to reopen tomorrow for the first time in five months.
Activities at Mote Park Outdoor Adventure including the popular two tier 16ft and 32ft Sky Trail, Climbing Wall, Segways and Mini Dino Golf will all be open and available to use with restrictions in place from 10am.
Floor markings, hand sanitiser, plastic screening in the reception area and a clearly marked one way system have been introduced and all visitors will be asked to wear a face covering.
Maidstone Borough Council’s Leisure Manager, Mike Evans said: “MBC is delighted to see Mote Park Outdoor Adventure reopening this week so that families can make the most of the fabulous facilities over the Easter break.
“We want to reassure everyone that a lot of planning has gone into making sure that it is Covid-secure and safe for them to visit, but we would ask that when visitors come to the park that they please take every step to follow the guidance and the safety measures that have been introduced.”
To manage numbers, visitors are being asked to book tickets online before arriving at the park, and only one household at a time will be admitted.
John Blackman from Serco, the company which runs the park, said: “My team and I are raring to go. We’ve been working hard behind the scenes, preparing for reopening, which includes getting all of our equipment checked and the team refreshed on all their training.
"All the hard work will be paid off when we welcome our visitors and they have a great day out with us.
“We are also accredited as ‘Good to go’ by Visit England, the official UK mark to signal we follow Government and industry Covid-19 guidelines to maintain cleanliness and aid social distancing.”
The Adventure Cafe is also reopening on April 1 so guests can still buy food and drink but benches and seating areas will remain out of use
