Maidstone paedophile Alan Horley formerly from Hawkinge jailed after giving girl, 15, chips and cannabis to pose for topless photos

A convicted paedophile who gave a young girl chips, cannabis and £10 for her to pose for topless photos has been jailed for five years.
Under what is known as an extended sentence, Alan Horley will serve at least two-thirds behind bars before being released on licence for four years.
The 37-year-old was said by a judge at Maidstone Crown Court to have taken "evil advantage" of the 15-year-old, who had also been drinking cider and was said to be intoxicated.
Horley, of Brewer Street, Maidstone, was on licence from prison for previous sex offences at the time and banned under a court order from having girls under the age of 18 in his home.
Imposing the nine-year extended prison sentence, Judge Michael Carroll said it was necessary in order to protect young women from his "unabating activities".
The judge added: "You constitute a real and continuing danger to young females, particularly those you come across who are intoxicated.
"I am satisfied what happened was a pattern of behaviour which you, although you may not have instigated everything, very quickly took advantage of.
"You knew jolly well these were just the kind of impressionable girls you could take evil advantage of."
Horley admitted causing or inciting child pornography, breach of a sexual offences prevention order (SOPO) and failing to comply with notification requirements under the sex offenders' register.
However, Judge Carroll rejected Horley's basis of plea that he neither supplied the cannabis nor downloaded or distributed the photos from his mobile before deleting them.
He said he was "absolutely satisfied" Horley paid for the drugs and the photos were for more than just "instant gratification" and had been "retained" elsewhere.
The court heard the girl was one of three teenagers who turned up at Horley's home late one Friday evening in September 2012.
"You knew jolly well these were just the kind of impressionable girls you could take evil advantage of..." - Judge Michael Carroll
Horley had been released from jail in February that year, having been given a previous extended prison sentence of seven years in 2010 for six offences of sexual activity with a child.
The girls were with a teenage boy and a man whom Horley, formerly from Hawkinge, had met in prison.
Prosecutor Jessica Clarke said Horley, who has previous convictions for various sex offences dating back to 2002, asked during the evening if he could take photographs but the girls initially refused.
However, after they all spent the night at the house, the 15-year old agreed to pose the next day.
The photos were taken by her two friends using one of Horley's three phones.
"They were in the bedroom and Horley remained outside, giving instructions as to how the photos should be taken," said Miss Clarke.
"Some photos of her clothed were taken and shown to Horley. The girl then agreed to take topless photographs of herself."
Horley later gave her £10, although the agreed amount had been initially £100.
"He stated he would give the rest if there was any interest because he was going to send them to someone in respect of modelling."
However, when the girl later checked his phone, the images had been deleted.
Horley denied he had emailed or downloaded the photos before removing them.
Although he agreed under cross-examination he had asked the girl to pose topless, he maintained none of the shots were semi-naked and that all the images were deleted "within hours".
When asked by the judge why he had wanted them on his phone, he replied: "It was for my gratification".
Kerry Waitt, defending, said Horley did not "seek out" the girls, but accepted and regretted he did not "use his power" to stop them coming into his home.
The court heard Horley was no longer living in Brewer Street when police went to arrest him.
Mr Waitt said Horley had "absented himself knowing the police would be coming to see him".
Horley, who has been in custody since December 2012, will be subject to both a SOPO and the sex offenders' register indefinitely upon his release.
