A wailing alarm has been sounding overnight at a development of flats in Maidstone.
People living in Wallis Place, off Maidstone's Hart Street, have had a disrupted night's sleep after the noise began just after 11.30pm.
The alarm is linked to a pumping station which deals with waste water and sewage and goes off when a problem is detected with the system.

Some residents padded downstairs in the middle of the night to see if they could switch the alarm off, but a sign on the box warns of a 400 volt current.
The noise was still going this morning and has been reported to DMG Property Management which looks after the complex of 280 flats. An engineer is due to be dispatched today.
Wallis Place was completed between 2008 and 2012.
