Three people have been arrested on suspicion of theft after police were called to Bearsted.
Shortly before 1am on Friday, police were called to The Landway following reports of three men acting strangely.
The suspects - aged, 24, 26 and 27 and all from London- were arrested on suspicion of stealing property from a car, and remain in police custody.
A number of items were seized, and officers believe that more than one car in the area may have been targeted.
Police are now appealing for anyone who saw anything to contact them.
They also want to speak to a member of the public who helped the officers at the scene.
Anyone with any information should contact officers at Maidstone police station on 01622 604130, quoting reference 24-0035. Alternatively, call Kent Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
