Police appeal after man is assaulted near Whatman Park, Maidstone

Officers are appealing for witnesses following a report of an assault near a park.
The incident happened at around 7am on October 20, when a man hit his head on a footbridge railing after being pushed.
The victim, who is in his 40s, was walking across a footbridge that runs from Kerry Hill Way into Whatman Park in Maidstone.
He suffered a cut to his head and later went to hospital for treatment to the injury.
Investigating officer Sgt Callum Tuckett said: "This was an unprovoked assault and we have been completing inquiries to identify those responsible.
"While the victim did not see his assailant, it is understood there were several people in the area at the time of the incident who may be able to assist our inquiries."
