Appeal over alleged racial abuse in shop

KENT Police want to trace a man they believe may have witnessed racial abuse in a town centre shop.
It is alleged a shopkeeper was abused inside his premises situated at the top end of Week Street, Maidstone, near Maidstone East Railway Station.
The alleged incident took place on Saturday, December 3, at about 8pm.
Gianna Pollero, spokeswoman for Maidstone and Malling Police, said: "We would like to speak to a man who was standing at the till of the shop when this happened. We would ask him to contact Det Sgt Nick Sparkes on 01622 604283."
