POLICE are appealing for information following the theft of a terrier from a house in Newenden Close, Maidstone.

The dog's owner, April Ayers, says the theft occurred between Friday, July 20, and Wednesday July 25.

It is believed a gate was forced to the rear of the property to gain access to the dog.

The animal is described as being a Patterdale Terrier, around 11 months old and wearing a red collar.
