Armed police were called to a main road after people “wearing balaclavas” and using “weapons” were seen entering a property.
Officers and a helicopter were sent to Tonbridge Road, in Maidstone, following reports of a gang in the area.
Armed police and police dog handlers arrived at 8.05pm yesterday (Saturday, May 25).
A witness said a girl was heard shouting and a man was seen with a baseball bat.
She added: "We saw a motorbike turn up with the passenger wearing a balaclava.
"The man in a balaclava went into a house then lots of armed police turned up and police dogs."
There were reports on social media that suggested police were called when a gang armed with an axe arrived on the road.
A police spokesperson said: “Kent Police officers attended following reports of a disturbance involving four people.
”Armed officers also attended following concerns a weapon may have been seen.
”An area search was conducted, with the assistance of the police helicopter but no suspects were located. An axe and a table leg were located and seized.”
Enquiries are ongoing to locate those involved.
